The awards recognize individuals and organizations that are mobilizing private capital for positive social and environmental impact in Canada.

    It’s a powerful thing to witness evolution, and being at the 6th Aquaculture Innovation Workshop offers that opportunity. At the first Aquaculture Innovation Workshop in January 2011, when the dominant perception in the aquaculture industry was “it can’t be done”, approximately 30 participants gathered to discuss how to move forward with raising fish sustainably, on land in recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS), separate from the marine environment.
