Give a Gift to Canada’s Seven Small Wonders
In the run up to Canada Day, Small Change Fund is asking Canadians to Give a Gift to Canada. After an eight week search, Small Change Fund has selected Canada’s Seven Small Wonders: seven community-based projects that represent the diverse range of issues facing communities in this country.
Canada’s Seven Small Wonders range from projects supporting cultural retention among the Inuit in Nunavut to learning to preserve fresh seasonal foods in Toronto’s Parkdale neighbourhood. Canadians can read about each of the Seven Small Wonders and make a donation at http://smallchangefund.org/campaigns/7sw/.
People who donate to any of the projects will receive a tax receipt and a personal update from the project organizers, showing where the donated funds were spent and how they helped the community.
For social media enthusiasts, Small Change Fund is asking for support for the campaign in two ways:
- Add a Twibbon to your profile picture (Twitter and Facebook) for the month of June
- Donate a tweet a day to Small Change Fund help them promote the Seven Small Wonders and raise funds
