Senior Manager, Major Gifts
Toronto or Vancouver – Flex hours (30-40 hours per week), Permanent

Philanthropy Specialist

The Philanthropy Specialist will be responsible for supporting the growth of a portfolio of donors of various giving levels. This will include writing effective gift proposals, donor correspondence, solicitation and communication pieces, impact reports, preparing briefing and presentation materials for donor meetings and developing and maintaining recognition data records and tracking systems.

Revenue Development Writer

Community Employment Specialist, East Scarborough Storefront
Scarborough – Full Time

East Scarborough Storefront, a project of Tides Canada Initiatives, is a unique approach to community development; we leverage the power of collaboration to support people and build community. Storefront staff act as a bridge, catalyst and facilitator between and among community members, services and resources.

The Community Employment Specialist will work with colleagues and partners to deliver employment consultation and develop tools to assist local community members become effective job seekers. Work involves reviewing with community members their employment aspirations, helping identify supports they may need to reach their goals, working with community members to create employment action plans, connecting community members to job opportunities and training opportunities such as apprenticeships, and working cooperatively with neighbourhood and community organizations to assist community members to access training, placement and employment opportunities.

Outreach & Enrolment Coordinator, The Inner Activist
Virtual Office (Work from home), BC-based – 20 hours/week

The Inner Activist, a project of Tides Canada Initiatives, is an initiative of diverse facilitators and educators with a passion for social and environmental justice. We offer leadership development courses designed to help individuals and communities grow the essentials skills they need to be an effective force for change in their lives, workplaces and world.

The Inner Activist is seeking an individual to work part time from their home to assist with outreach and enrolment. Short-term objectives are to help meet course enrolment goals through connecting with potential participants. The overall long-term approach is to work as part of a team to establish and deepen relationships of trust, respect and mutuality with key stakeholder communities including equity-seeking communities (Ex. First Nations and groups facing systemic injustices based on their gender identity, race, religion, culture, age etc.). The position will be an important and integral part of Inner Activist’s values-based leadership team dedicated to creatively evolving our outreach and enrolment strategy.
