Tricia Cummings
Client Service Manager (Western Canada)

Based in Vancouver, Tricia leads donors and partners through the products and services of Tides Canada to tailor services to their specific needs. She has worked in the charitable sector throughout her entire career with both funding and operating charities. Tricia spent seven years with a billion-dollar-asset private family foundation, supporting charities throughout North America. She served as the Director of a BC-wide foundation that provides education scholarships and grants to charities, and which operates its own leadership and mentoring programs. Prior to working with Tides Canada, Tricia helped achieve a successful $60-million fundraising goal for a post-secondary capital campaign.

Doug Taylor
Client Service Manager (Central and Eastern Canada)

Based in Toronto, Doug manages development and client services for central and eastern Canada, focusing on strategic philanthropy and partnerships for donors and clients. He works closely with clients to establish and grow their charitable giving funds at Tides Canada. Doug has more than 10 years’ experience in providing exemplary customer service and support. Prior to Tides, Doug worked with the Toronto Community Foundation in Development and Donor Services, with a focus on research, stewardship, and growth of endowments. Doug volunteers with the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation, and was an active volunteer for the AIDS Committee of Toronto. He previously led development and marketing for Inner Stage Theatre.

Leslie Wright
Project Director

Leslie leads partnership development, capacity-building, and networking nationally for Tides Canada projects. With over 25 years of experience in the voluntary and non-profit sectors, Leslie’s expertise includes public consultation, engagement and facilitation at the local, provincial and national levels; management of networks and collaboratives; capacity-building, and governance. Leslie has taken on diverse leadership roles over the years as frontline staff, executive director, board director and, for the last 10 years, as a consultant.

Rachel Flood
Project Specialist (Western Canada)

Rachel provides projects in Western and Central Canada with project management and administrative support. She is a passionate social entrepreneur who ran her own company helping business owners create efficiencies in administration and operational design. A writer and performance poet, Rachel started the Vancouver arts festival Sistahood Celebration as well as the local non-profit Working Arts Society. She is an energetic, experienced organizer who aligns her interest in business strategy with an intense desire to change the face of organizations to better reflect and respond to the needs of the local community.

Jillian Witt
Project Specialist (Central and Eastern Canada)

Jillian provides projects in Ontario and Eastern Canada with project management and administrative support.  She has a passion for community development across the globe. Prior to joining Tides Canada, Jillian coordinated a community development project in one of Toronto’s vibrant yet stigmatized neighbourhoods, working to strengthen residents’ voices at the community and city level. She has worked on a variety of community initiatives related to neighbourhood organizing, health promotion and youth development in rural and urban Ontario as well as Guyana. Jillian holds a Masters of Social Work from the University of Toronto with a specialization in community development.
