Congratulations to all those who were recognized for their important work. I was very pleased to see that I’ve had contact with two of the 10: Living Oceans Society and the Canadian Youth Climate Coalition. Both of these have deep commitments to mobilizing public environmental awareness. Thanks Tides! I am so appreciative to see your top 10 as I don’t know all these organizations and it is heartwarming to see the good they are creating in our world. Also it is a good giving season so provides ideas on where to give. Thank you Tides and all the people who make our world a more loving and compassionate place.
Thanks for this annual list. It’s great to see the innovative work being done across the country. In addition, it’s inspiring to see so many people doing so many things to make our country a better place. I’m particularly thrilled to see the UBC Farm make the list. Thanks to an incredible effort of volunteers, farm staff, and the larger community, this precious jewel has been saved from development. Our company spent a day earlier this year volunteering at the farm, and it was a great experience for all of us.
As a long time Tides board member, Im proud to see this list of important and inspiring projects being put forth.
This Recession year makes it critically important for us all to maximize our support of good works that help hold society and ecology together.
Consider making significant donations this year while those opportunities remain available.
