We chose them for:
- their leadership in research and learning about sustainable agriculture, climate change, food security and community health
- their exceptional interactive programs for children and adults of all ages that use on-farm experiences to teach and emphasize the relationship between food, health, and the environment
- their urban aboriginal programming which supports over 700 participants, largely from Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, to prepare fresh food and gain practical skills to address complex community health issues
