FarmStart supports a new generation of Canadian farmers in their efforts to build economically viable, local, ecological farm businesses. Based in Ontario, programs include training and education, mentorship, and an incubator farm.

We chose them for:

• believing that a handful of compost can go a long way and recognizing that farmers are both stewards of our environment and key players in the security of our food system.
• bridging business sense and sustainability with an incubator farm that enables participants to build skills and pass on industry learnings.
• creating community capacity for new farmers through mentorship and training in innovative ecological agriculture practices.
