Shark Truth
Stopping the soup, one bowl at a time

Where they work: Vancouver, Internationally
Founded in 2009 by Claudia Li, Shark Truth is a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to promoting awareness, education and action for sharks and around shark fin issues.
We chose them for:
- raising awareness and empowering consumers to ‘Stop the Soup’, using a culturally informed approach and enabling individuals to be leaders in change.
- diverting 9,500 bowls of shark fin soup from consumption… that’s approximately 950 sharks!
- thinking big with a long-term goal to stop the consumption of shark fin in Canada within five to ten years.
