Tides Canada Program Officer Kim Hardy has returned from Montreal where she was helping to shape the content and agenda for the International Polar Year (IPY) closing conference that Canada will host in Montreal in April 2012.

The Globe and Mail covers the Google Earth Outreach launch in Canada, co-hosted by Tides Canada, and how it all started. Since the original launch, it has helped organizations and community groups around the world tell their stories by providing free access to Google's mapping and satellite technology.
