Standard Tides Canada Donate Page

When you open a Collective Giving Fund or Project at Tides Canada you are automatically set up to accept online donations via a dedicated donate page running off our website. 

Your fund or project will be listed on our Donate Now section which allows web visitors to find your fund or project in a few different ways. 

They can browse by name or filter and sort by issue area or geographic region. You may be listed under several interest areas. Clicking on the name of your fund or project brings them to your individual where there are options to donate online or offline.

How it works

When the donor clicks on the "Donate Online" button beside your name and description, they will be taken to your GiftTool donation page — click here for an example.

After a donation is complete, the donor receives an onscreen confirmation and thank you message customized to your Fund or Project. A e-tax receipt will be emailed to the donor immediately. 

Note: E-tax receipts will show only "Tides Canada Foundation" and will NOT specify the name of your Fund.

What it costs

GiftTool Fees

  • No set-up fee
  • No monthly fee
  • GiftTool transaction fees $0.99 + admin fee $0.24 = $1.23 per online transaction

    Credit Card Fees

    We use IATS to process your credit card donations and their fees per donation are:
    • $0.46 per transaction PLUS
    • 2.5% for Visa and MasterCar
    • 3% for American Express
