A New Energy Vision for Canada
In early 2011, after consulting with more than 100 leaders from Canada’s business, faith, labor, health, environment, and aboriginal communities—Tides Canada developed a discussion paper called A New Energy Vision for Canada.

The document is a collaborative vision of a nation that has largely moved on to clean and renewable energy sources by about 2050, and includes a set of recommendations for a national energy strategy or framework that would deliver such a future.
We developed the project to spark conversations between Canadians and their leaders on the best path forward to a prosperous, healthy, and secure low-carbon future. We are now working to build a broad base of support for the vision and enclosed recommendations among those who are, like Tides Canada, working to advance this dialogue.
