Centre for City Ecology & Jane’s Walk

The Centre for City Ecology (CCE) works to further the ideas and legacy of Jane Jacobs, renowned urbanist and author. The Centre’s goals and objectives are to increase ‘urban literacy’, and to promote civic engagement, community leadership and local involvement with city-building processes. It seeks to increase the awareness and influence of residents in shaping the cities and neighbourhoods where they live.

CCE sponsors and administers the Jane’s Walk program nationally and internationally, fostering local partnerships to bring people together across geographic and social barriers for free neighbourhood walking tours.
