
Since January 2009, more than 20 new funds were established at Tides Canada by a diverse mix of donors. Individuals and families, international charities and non-profits, and corporations set up funds focused on health, research, transformation, HIV/AIDS, and social and environmental justice.
Here are six recent additions to our growing community of donors and social change initiatives.
Chordoma Foundation Cancer Research Fund / to support the mission to rapidly develop effective treatments and ultimately a cure for chordoma, while improving the diagnosis, treatment, and quality of life for people affected by this devastating bone cancer
Chowyuan Family Members Fund / for the support of the Foundation for Children with Developmental Delay
Dr. Bik May Wai Lam Endowment Fund / to support disadvantaged seniors, single parents, youth and families in poverty or at risk via the arts or the provision of necessary medical services, supplies or equipment
Keep a Child Alive Fund / to support children and families affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and the developing world by providing life-saving medication, assistance and orphan care
Michael Mayzel Fund / to support environmental and social justice charitable work
Stand Now Fund / to support organizations working towards alleviating poverty and oppression of women, through research, education and microfinance initiatives
