New Funds at Tides

Since June 2008, 20 new funds were established at Tides by a diverse mix of donors. Individuals and families, international charities and non-profits, and corporations set up funds focused on climate change, peace and justice, international development, women’s leadership programs and fair trade.

Here are four recent additions to our growing community of donors and social change initiatives.


supports the charitable work of the Mirasol Project Civil Association to improve the quality of life of children living in the remote Andes highlands of Peru by providing them the opportunity for education and improved nutrition.	supports Canadians for Climate Leadership, a non-partisan initiative aimed to foster public engagement and awareness about global warming and support balanced and well-informed policy on climate change.	supports IBM Canada’s Matching Grants Program to match the donations of IBM employees to charitable organizations in Canada.	supports programs which sponsor a biennial lecture and seminar on the application of economic theories to issues of poverty, disadvantage and social justice.
