Does your charity have Canadian donors to whom you would like to extend a tax benefit?

Tides can facilitate Canadian donations to U.S. and international charities, in partnership with Tides Foundation in San Francisco.

We offer a range of gift receiving, receipting, stewardship and grant-making services. Our administrative allocation varies depending on the number, size, and complexity of charitable transactions requested.

U.S. & international charities must be pre-qualified as appropriate recipients before we accept your donations in Canada. Please contact us about the requirements for pre-qualification.

Receive gifts from your Canadian donors

Canadian donors wishing to recommend gifts of a $1,000 or more to pre-approved U.S. or International charities may direct their gift to our Global Development Fund accompanied by a request to have us make a recommendation to Tides Foundation in the U.S. in favour of your charity.

On our recommendation, Tides Foundation will consider the recommendation and approve and disburse the grant to appropriate recipients.

Potential grantees are vetted by Tides Foundation in the U.S. as qualified grantees before we accept the donation.

Please make sure your Canadian donors contact us directly prior to making such a gift.

Set up a fund at Tides

If your charity has donors in Canada who would like to make regular ongoing gifts to your U.S. or international charity, establishing a Charitable Giving Fund at Tides is the most efficient way to have Canadian donors make contributions of any amount.
