The Great Bear Rainforest – British Columbia’s North and Central Coast – is:

- a vast riparian system of over 100 unlogged large watersheds sustaining 20 percent of the world’s wild salmon population; and
- a unique ecological treasure which supports tremendous biodiversity including: white spirit bears, grizzly bears, black bears, unique wolf populations, 6 million migratory birds, 3,000 genetically distinct salmon stocks, and a multitude of rare and unusual plants..
