April 7 Forum Brings Energy Companies and Environmentalists Together

You know things are changing when dialogue is occurring between traditionally sparring sides like hydro energy companies and environmentalists.

On Tuesday the 7th of April a forum in Vancouver organized by PowerUp Canada, a Tides Canada project, brings together opinion leaders, decision makers, leading academics and journalists for a frank dialogue on building a low carbon green economy in British Columbia.

The forumwill debate whatlocal and provincial governments can do to stimulate agreen economy, includinggreen energy development.

Participants willdiscuss thechallenges facing new green energy developments – run of river, siting wind farms, and scaling upthe economic policyaround carbon tax, cap and trade and clean tech manufacturing.

Join them as they plot the next steps to power up green jobs and a green economy in BC .
