Canada’s Amazon captured in new book by enviro-philanthropist

A graceful white Spirit bear traverses a wet log across a pebbly stream,  a mother Grizzly bear hangs her head mourning the death of her cub, and the tail of an Orca whale breaks the surface of a foggy sea.

Tides Canada donor Andy Wright’s conservation photography is indeed impressive. He takes viewers deep inside the world’s last untouched wilderness, the Great Bear Rainforest on the west Canadian coast.

His hardcover book of photography, Emeralds At The Edge, tells both the  story of Andy’s philanthropic activism in preserving the rainforest from logging, to the stark reality of raw survival for the wild animals that call it home; rare white spirit bears, great grizzly bears, illusive wolves and giant bald eagles.

This is his first book of conservation photography and the official launch will occur in Vancouver on October 22.

You can support Andy’s work to preserve the last great temperate rainforest by supporting Tides Canada’s Great Bear Rainforest Fund or by purchasing his book.

Read our interview with Andy Wright to find out how he ticks and how he works with Tides Canada to create a bigger impact with his giving.

To purchase his book take a virtual tour of his new book Emeralds at the Edge or better still join him at the launch
