Down to the Toronto Waterfront

Posted on Aug 12, 2009

Many Canadians may not realize the history behind the rivers and harbour of Toronto. Yet the city’s waterfront serves as a microcosm for many of the management challenges faced by communities across Canada in terms of balancing urban development and ecological integrity.

On September 11-13, twenty young professionals will have a chance to explore past, current, and future waterfront management issues within the Greater Toronto Area.

Learn more about this Waterlution workshop.

Waterlution is a water learning organization that brings together young leaders – interested or working on water-related topics – for peer-to-peer and inter-generational learning programs. Workshops and activities often take place over a weekend, or are customized to work with partners and groups at selected events. Waterlution’s programs focus on geographical areas engaging local stakeholders. Workshops take place across Canada – Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, BC, Manitoba, the Maritimes, and the Yukon and Northwest Territories.
