Jennifer Lynn joins Tides Canada board
TORONTO — Tides Canada, a national charity committed to innovative solutions to benefit Canadian society and the environment, today announced the appointment of Jennifer Lynn to its board of directors.
“Jennifer is a pre-eminent voice for diversity and inclusion in Canada,” said Jodi White, Chair of Tides Canada’s board. “She brings extensive expertise in national community building and leadership in social justice issues to Tides Canada.”
Jennifer is founder and President of LCI Associates Inc., a marketing communications and diversity-inclusive business solutions firm. A dynamic entrepreneur, prominent communications strategist and educator, her distinguished career in business, education, broadcasting and the media spans several countries and continents.
She is the past board chair of the United Way of Greater Toronto. Jennifer has also provided leadership in the areas of governance, program policy, communications, community engagement and grants for agencies, non-profits and foundations including the Ontario Trillium Foundation, Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council, Harmony Movement and the Royal Conservatory of Music.
“Jennifer’s extensive professional and volunteer experience with organizations dedicated to philanthropy, diversity and social services will be invaluable to Tides Canada’s efforts to create positive social change across the country,” said Ross McMillan, President and CEO of Tides Canada.
For her significant contributions to the country, Jennifer has been recognized with the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal, the Province of Ontario Volunteer Service Award, and the United Way of Canada Chair’s Award of Distinction.
