Pocket Guide to Eating Sushi

Posted on May 5, 2009

Living Oceans Society, a Tides Canada fund holder, has just released their pocket guide to eating sushi.

The guide will help consumers make informed choices when they line up at lunchtime for their favourite California Roll or  Bento Box.

It is the first sustainable sushi guide released in Canada and will help consumers protect threatened marine species while satisfying their cravings for sushi.

Developed by SeaChoice (run by Living Oceans Society in partnership with other leading environmental groups), the guide makes it clear which fish to avoid by highlighting that column in red.

The key is to ask your server which seafoods are being served to be sure not to consume the wrong ones.

How do you get one? it’s easy, download the guide to your printer, then pop it in your wallet ready for use next time your out for lunch!

You can support clever initiatives like this by donating to the Living Oceans Society via their Oceans Fund at TidesCanada
