Driven by a need to fulfill his two passions in life, basketball and Africa, Rick Gill started a fund at Tides Canada named after the charity of his choice, none other than Hoops 4 Hope. He now has half the province of British Columbia on his side. Read article

Five high schools and thousands of kids across the province held a special basketball competition this month, raising thousands of dollars, and contributing truckloads of enthusiasm for Rick’s Hoops 4 Hope fund.

They helped fill a container full of sneakers and basketballs, headed for Africa, creating a fun way to teach youth about HIV Aids and Health.
