Vancouver holiday event success
Yesterday evening the changemakers of Tides Canada’s community gathered to celebrate the holiday season, in the lower level of the Flack Block in the historic Gastown district of Vancouver. After being left to slowly decay, this turn of the century building has recently seen extensive rejuvenation and now proudly takes its place again as one of Vancouver’s most trendy spaces.
Our team worked to ensure that from the moment guests were greeted at the door, their every need was catered to seamlessly. Glen Hickey Design brought the original brick and stonework to life with drapes, lighting and flower arrangements creating a beautiful backdrop for the evening.
It was great to see our donors, projects, partners and friends mingling and enjoying the evening. For all those who weren’t able to join us, we missed you.
Amber Church, National Director of the Canadian Climate Youth Coalition who is off to the UN climate talks in Copenhagen together with 35 youth delegates from across Canada, shared a powerful message of hope.
Michael Kraus and his team from OnePlanet Catering served up soulful, mouthwatering and sustainable creations, as guests enjoyed libations from White Bear Wines – which donates 15% of sales to the preservation of the Great Bear Rainforest – as well as Molson Coors.
