Restoring Indigenous presence to Canadian communities by creating places that reflect and celebrate Indigenous identity, world views, and values.
Indigenous Place Making Council (IPMC) seeks to restore Indigenous presence to Canadian communities. Through co-design processes with Indigenous communities, IMPC strives to create places that reflect and celebrate Indigenous identity, world views, and values. Ultimately, IMPC work facilitates the transformation of Canadian communities, institutions and public spaces to better reflect the rich and diverse contributions of Canada’s founding peoples – and in this way promote reconciliation and understanding between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Peoples of Canada.
