Capacity Waterloo works to enhance the effectiveness and capacity of non-profit organizations in the Waterloo region through peer-to-peer management support, an ‘Executive Director-In-Residence’ and a Board training and development program.
East Scarborough Storefront
The ESS is a partnership of community members and services working together to create a thriving community in East Scarborough. It acts as a bridge between people, services and communities to work together in a safe, welcoming and accessible environment. Not unlike the Sage model, the Storefront collaborates with over 35 agencies to bring a multitude of services to the community under one roof. The services they provide target every aspect of Sage’s mission, from poverty alleviation to violence prevention to civic engagement and inclusion of disadvantaged populations in civil society.
