African Rural Development Fund
Uganda Rural Development and Training (URDT) Programme has established the African Rural Development Fund at Tides Canada Foundation for the purpose of supporting charitable activities identified by URDT. Donors to Tides Canada Foundation may request that their donation be added to the African Rural Development Fund and, subject to the requirements of the Income Tax Act, will receive a charitable tax receipt.
URDT addresses the root causes of poverty, poor health, and lack of development in a poor district of Uganda. URDT’s focus is on education and training projects, including a girl’s school, community radio station, human rights training, organic farming programs, and the innovative African Rural University for women.
