The Canadian Freshwater Alliance, a project of Tides Canada Initiatives, is a national capacity builder that assists Canada’s diverse non-profit water community in reaching their goals in efforts to secure healthy, thriving waters from coast-to-coast-to-coast. Living waters are essential to the health and wealth of all our communities, our environment and our country. In a time when increasing development pressures are affecting the health of many of our waterways, the work of the Alliance and its partners is paramount.
In 2013, the Alliance will launch an innovative capacity program in British Columbia and in the Great Lakes region that will support local organizations in reaching their community engagement goals. In addition, the Alliance will bring a leading edge contact management system to Canada’s freshwater community with discounted rates for Alliance partners to better connect and engage their local constituencies.
The Canadian Freshwater Alliance is committed to serving the needs of Canada’s diverse freshwater community. We invite you to join us as we lay a foundation for a powerful movement that connects and advances local, regional and national efforts to protect and restore Canada’s vital waterways.
