Danielle Johnston joined Tides Canada in January 2017 and provides operational support to initiatives on the shared platform. Before joining Tides Canada, she worked at a policy firm where she managed business operations and executed public consultations on a range of issues. In 2013, she completed a Coady International Institute Fellowship in Zambia, where she assisted with a national consultation on enshrining women’s rights in the constitution. While in Zambia, she saw the challenges small charities face, and this sparked her interest in new approaches to helping organizations achieve their missions more effectively.
Though based in Toronto, Danielle was raised in BC, and she shows her roots through her love of the outdoors and yoga. She is a Canada World Youth alumni and remains active with the organization as a former Board member and current member of the President’s Advisory Council.
