Program Coordinator, The Reading Partnership
Scarborough, ON | Apply by August 22, 2019
The Reading Partnership, a project on Tides Canada’s shared platform (TRP), was established in 2011 to improve literacy in Kingston Galloway-Orton Park (KGO) and build a stronger, more resilient community. TRP’s mandate is both simple and significant – to provide parents with the skills, resources, and confidence they need to teach their children how to read, while working collaboratively with community partners to promote and improve literacy in the communities that need it the most.
Reporting to the Project Director, the Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the delivery and execution of all TRP programs and events, acting as a primary point of contact for participants and stakeholders, and providing direct support to the program delivery team/s.
This will require keen project management skills, a “can do” attitude, flexibility, and ability to manage competing priorities. This position is best suited for someone who is creative, takes initiative and works well independently and within team structures.
