Jodi White, Tides Canada Board Chair, Receives Order of Canada

Jodi White - Tides Canada Board ChairIn a statement from the Governor General, it was announced Jodi White has been appointed a member of the Order of Canada.

White was recognized for her work in philanthropy and for her contributions to public dialogue in Canada over a career marked by significant accomplishment.

The Order of Canada recognizes a lifetime of outstanding achievement, dedication to the community and service to the nation.

“Jodi truly deserves this recognition. Her work in government, charity, and business has been steadfastly dedicated to furthering the national interest. Jodi leads by example, promoting the open, public debate that makes Canada a great, prosperous and democratic country” said Ross McMillan, President and CEO of Tides Canada.

White’s career spans public policy, journalism, the private sector and the non-profit sector. She started her career as a CBC journalist, and then moved on to leadership roles in politics, business and public policy. She was chief of staff to Prime Minister Kim Campbell and to Foreign Minister Joe Clark. She was a vice president at Imasco and served as president and CEO of the Public Policy Forum. Along with her work on the board of Tides Canada, White also serves on a number of non-profit boards including Action Canada, which provides leadership development and public policy programming for young Canadians.
