Norah Murphy

Senior Specialist, Communications and Marketing

Norah collaborates with teams across the organization on a range of communications and marketing projects related to grantmaking, development, public and media relations, and the shared platform. As Senior Specialist, Communications and Marketing, she is responsible for connecting our community, marketing our tools and offerings, and sharing the Tides Canada story across multiple communications platforms.

Norah’s communications experience spans roles in the private sector, government, and nonprofits. Prior to joining Tides Canada in 2017, she worked with the Shareholder Association for Research and Education (SHARE), a nonprofit organization focused on helping institutional investors who have an interest in responsible (ESG) investment.

Norah has a MA in Global Media and Transnational Communications from Goldsmiths, University of London and a BA in Communications Studies from York University. In her spare time you can find her exploring the BC mountains, planning her next travel adventure, and enjoying good food with good friends.
